Povilas Daugėla graduated Dentistry in 2010, followed by consecutive postgraduate three years studies in Oral surgery at Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LUHS). In 2010 he was nominated as the best young scientist of Baltic Osseointegration Academy. Since 2013 studies postgraduate Maxillofacial Surgery program at LUHS, taking particular interest in the research of alveolar bone regeneration. He lectures as invited lecturer at Maxillofacial Surgery Department of LUHS, is a mentor and moderator of young scientists research activities. Alongside with the academic activity, works as oral surgeon in private practice.
Doctor has lectured in numerous local and international scientific conferences in Lithuania, Germany, Turkey, Denmark, Spain, Switzerland. He is a member of International Team of Implantology (ITI), The International Association of Student Clinicians (SCADA), International Society for Telemedicine & eHealth (ISfTeH), participant of COST Action MP1301 "New Generation Biomimetic and Customized Implants for Bone Engineering" project. Major research interests include: immediate implantation, peri-implant bone regeneration and engineering, platelet concentrates investigation.

Gintaras Juodzbalys, DMD, PhD, is graduated from Kaunas University of Medicine in 1983. General dentist and oral surgeon, office in Kaunas „Stilus Optimus“ www.stilusoptimus.lt. Activities in the University of Kaunas: Assistant from 1983, Assoc. Prof. from 1994, Professor from 2006. Currently is a Professor at the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. He is Past President of Lithuanian Dental Association. Was founder and chair of international scientific project “Baltic Compass”. Currently he is President of Baltic Osseointegration Academy; head of Dental Implant Centre “Stilus Optimus”; member of Editorial staff of scientific journal “Stomatologija - Baltic Dental and Maxillofacial Journal”; founder and Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Research. He is Chairman of Dental Faculty Board of LSMU. Member of Scientific Board of Odontology at Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. Currently is main supervisor for 5 ongoing PhD-projects. He has been lecturing in 65 national/international scientific meetings as an invited or keynote speaker, has published 131 publications. His research interests primarily focus on oral implantology and tissue engineering. Dr. Tozum is graduated from Gazi University, Faculty of Dentistry, Ankara, Turkey with the Top Student Award in 1998. He completed his integrated Post-graduate education in Periodontics and Ph.D. training about bone metabolism at Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey and University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA between 1998 and 2002. He has been teaching, researching and practicing about advanced periodontics and implant dentistry between 2002 and 2014, and affiliated as Professor of Periodontics, Associate Dean of Research and Co-Director of Dental Research Center during his time at Hacettepe University. He received three international awards in implant dentistry, including Travel Award at International Association for Dental Research Continental European Division Meeting in 2004; Platinum Award at 24th World Congress, International Congress of Oral Implantologists in 2006; The Best Article published at ACTA Odontologica Scandinavia in 2009 related to bone grafting. He is a fellow and a member of research grant, web site education and academy news committees of Academy of Osseointegration, fellow of International Congress of Oral Implantologists, diplomate and honorary member of Meffert Implant Institute, active member of European Federation of Periodontology, Turkish Associations of Periodontology and Oral Implantology.
