During 2004/2005, 2005/2006, 2006/2007 academic years Dr. Marco Cicciù performed a six-monthly cycle of lessons about "Oral Anatomy and Morphology" in the first degree course of Dental Science, University of Catania.

7 March 2008 and 26 June 2010 Dr. Marco Cicciù performed TOEFL English exam.

Enrolled from 2006 in the specialist postgraduate school of Milano University Oral Surgery

From 13/10/2007 to 17/04/2008 Dr. Marco Cicciù spent 6 months in the Loma Linda University, head director Dr. Alan S. Herford (CALIFORNIA USA). In that period he performed animal research on rhBMP2 and bone regeneration techniques, with Dr Philip J Boyne.

From 12/12/2008 active reviewer of the international journal of oral and maxillofacial implants.

From 15/07/2009 Dr. Marco Cicciù is active member of the Editorial Board del Journal of Open Dentistry.

Reviewer of Indian Journal of Dental Research, Journal of Oral Implantology, Journal of Research and Essays, Journal of Oral Implantology, International Journal of Oral Maxillofacial Implants and African Journal of Biotechnologies.

From November 2010 Dr. Marco Cicciù is Assistant Professor at Messina University Dental Scholl on Oral Surgery and Dental Materials topic.

Scientific activity and research

Scientific Activity was specially directed to those points:

During 1997-1998 an experimental research about quantitative analyses of the force applied for tooth extraction was investigated. Sophisticated Instruments were used to perform this study with Mechanic College of Engineering Catania University.

During 2003-2006 research activity was performed to realize PhD thesis by individual study and bibliographic research. PhD thesis titled "Functional Outcome of Mandible condyle fractures in young subject”.

During 2004-2006 Dr. Marco Cicciù was attending PhD in the I.C.P. Dental Clinic of Milano. In this period, he cooperated to the pubblication of some scientific issue by individual research: “Outcome Analysys of Implant length and diameter” published in the vol. 2 num. 1 – January – April 2006 of the European Journal of Implant Prosthodontic and “Outcome analyses of the effects of the platelet rich plasma upon dental implants: a review of the recent literature” published in vol. 2 num. 3 – Sep-Dec 2006 of the European Journal of Implant Prosthodontic.

From 2006 attending in the department of oral surgery and implantology in I.C.P. Detnal Clinic of Milano University like postgraduating doctor in Oral Surgery ( head: Prof. C. Maiorana).

During 2007/2008 and 2009/2010 Dr. Cicciù was tutor for the Master in Dental Implantology at the Messina University

10 Novemebr 2009 Dr. Cicciù completed his post degree specialization in ORAL SURGERY at the University of Milan with a vote of 70/70 and honours developing a thesis on the growth factor application in the oral surgery.

Between November 2009 and May 2010 Dr. Cicciù has been fellow in research at Loma Linda University working with Dr. Herford at a project on “soft tissue healing with growth factors in a pig model”
